This miniature sonata (inspired by the attached image) found its peculiar instrumental device (horn, violin & piano) in Brahms' trio, Op 40 in E flat major.

The title (Die Bergluft) comes from this line from a poem by Hölderlin, 'Heimkunft':

Dahin, dorthin toset und stürzt die scherzende Bergluft, (*)

That I translate as follows:

From here, from there, rumbles and overturns the facetious breath of the peaks,

Cette sonate miniature (inspirée par l'image ci-jointe) a trouvé son dispositif instrumental particulier (cor, violon & piano) dans le trio de Brahms, op 40 en Mi bémol majeur.

Le titre (Die Bergluft) provient de ce vers d'un poème de Hölderlin, 'Heimkunft' (Retour au pays) :

Dahin, dorthin toset und stürzt die scherzende Bergluft, (*)

Que je traduis ainsi :

De-ci, de-là, gronde et renverse le souffle facétieux des cimes,
